Words from the Retard 02/06/08

First off, congratulations to those who won something at this years PB end of season do, most of them were well deserved, I say most of them as how Butcher won the dance off is a mystery!! With Danny’s flip to feet, Liam’s summersault, and Targer’s river dance, he had to do something special….so he put a bin on his head?!

It was a top night, I know I enjoyed it and the fact the sun was coming up when I got home tells me it was well past 4am when I left PBHQ! Thanks to the bar staff for serving us through the night, special mention to Shaven Raven who seems to have acquired a taste for young boys, classy. Also thanks to Glynny, Martel and Sarah who did the twilight shift!

Now for once I’m gonna talk about footy and our team, I know a shocker as I tend to air on the side of piss taking with these memoirs but not today. Last season was no fluke, we finished middle table and never really got going until after xmas. Danny says he can’t put a finger on why but I have a theory, Bratislava! Nothing brings a team together more than a little man on man action and full frontal nudity. With that in mind it brings me to my summer camp idea! If these excursions effect the teams performance we need one before the seasons starts, something like a month in Spain as Dan suggested would be perfect! I’ll work on that one

I honestly believe that next season will be better. With Sunday teams players player Jordan Wardrope committing to sign for the Saturday team, Scotty to Hotty coming back after his brief stint at Kackley A, Targer looking like he may turn out more than just the once next season and both myself and Dan currently in contract negotiations with other Notleys league players, the future is bright. We have an excellent mix of youth and experience at the club and the lads coming through the team will keep getting better. Unless of course they hit the booze, KFC and end up like Ross. I also believe that taking myself off to Auz midaway through next season will have a massive effect on the team, of course it will less own goals! Fear not though lads, I will still be arranging next years tour as a parting gift, I’m thinking Thailand!!

Dan mentioned pre season training in his speech and it’s important we take this seriously. We need to start next season the way we finished last season. Let’s be honest, there are a few people in our team who need to work on their fitness so put the effort in, simple. July will see us start some training and I know Dan is keen to book Denes high school. If new people are signing its important you show up for training as no one is guaranteed a spot in the team. It’s your place to shine training so make sure your there.

I’ll see you all soon.
