As a result of a long conversation with League Secretary Micki Johnson this evening with regards to last Saturdays match report, he requested that it either be removed or amended as several people to had taken offence to it's contents.In order to make life easier for Micki, who does a very difficult and thankless job I agreed to make some slight changes, despite the fact that the only direct insult was at Diego Maradona, but I could see how my simile could be misinterpreted.
Mr Johnson also mentioned, that several League Committee members had seen and dis-approved of some of the descriptions used and would hate to have to take this further,
Unfortunately the success of blog sites is that they are a personal space, within which individuals or groups or even organised societies can discuss and air their views or opinions, even if other people like it or not, there is no restriction on bad language or humour however wacky or unusual. Due to this BY LAW, if I decided I would like to make a controversial statement I can and I will!
