Pot Black F.C- 4
F.C. Hearts- 3
Match Overview- With the home side forced into changes all round the pitch after being robbed of the services of an amazing ten players (Laws, Rose, Cooper, Tantony, Jones, Collins, Durrant, Taylor, Reynolds, and Ogogo) but were pleased to welcome back Gav Hunt after an Op and Steven Foulkes after months on the treatment table.
The visitors started this match strongly with some good movement and nice passing as L'Orange took a little time to find their feet with the new centre mid partnership of Max Wall and Jordan Wardrope looking sprightly.
P.B veteran Simon Hall making his first appearance of the season also opened his account with a superb placed finish as he Cooley slotted the ball inside the post to give his side what turned out to be a short lived lead.
The equaliser was an excellent solo goal which left the P.B defence to ask questions of themselves. L'Oranges second came from a very unlikely source when a well taken Max Wall corner was met by an unmarked Rob Sterry whose bullet header left Hearts stunned.
Once again Hearts broke back when Luke Fallize slipped away from Banks to place a delightful header into the corner leaving Hollywood with nothing to do but watch it ripple the net. Although with half time approaching it was P.B's Adam Bird who snatched back the lead as he beat the offside trap from an excellent Gary Boyd cross then beat the keeper.
With the match getting tighter and more gritty, the Aeriel expertise of Captain Darren Boyd and Mark Lansdale began to shine and the pleasing commitment and determination was personified by Scotty 'Too Chubby' Reynolds.
L'Orange made it 4-2 as again Adam Bird burst through one on one as he took the keeper by surprise, who smashed the ball straight down the middle and into the net.
With time running out the visitors nicked another goal after the Referee failed to award a free kick for a blatant foul on Gary Boyd left P.B short at the back. But in true Pot Black style the lads in orange soaked up the pressure like a sponge, and deservedly took 3 points against a very strong and clever Hearts side.
