Well lads, I was gonna do a match report on last weeks game but quite frankly and unbelievably I have been mega busy at work. If this continues to infringe my entries on the site I may have to take a cut in my hours!
Last week in my mind had some successes despite the result. First 10 minutes I thought we were gonna get pumped but testament to our character and determination we settled and battled our way into the game and I think over the 90 minutes there wasn’t much between us, if anything we had the better of them for a lot of the game. They where a well organised, fit team and we should take heart that we after 90 minutes finished 2-2. It takes a bloody good team to come back from 1-0 down away from home, especially when its 2 hours away from home. Mentions go to Max Wall who I thought ran his nuts off and was by far our best player, well done mate, keep that sort of effort up because it brings the rest of the team on. Also Mr Jones who travelled all the way over despite the fact he wasn’t playing and stood on the side of the pitch for the full 90 plus extra time shouting and encouraging the lads on. Lastly to the the three lads who stood on the side of the pitch in the freezing cold and rain waiting to get on. Two of them, you know who you are (not mentioning names for obvious reasons Hunty and Landsy!) didn’t have to come along but the lure of PB on tour was too much to resist, thanks lads. Also well done to Jordan for the first goal after coming on for me, bloody groin. Sadly I didn’t see the goal as I was in the shower washing my balls but I did hear the cheer, thought it was for me washing to begin with! Also well done to Rob Cooper for doing what most PB players have failed to do and put away the pen!
Yet another tough game this weekend against Waveney, they made us look average last time so it’s important we forget that result and focus on winning this one. We don’t look back, we just focus on the game in hand. It’s a new game, another day at a chance for us to take revenge. If we put the effort in and work as a team we get results. Don’t forget that, if we play to our potential teams have to work hard and play bloody well to beat us. Expect changes to the team because despite what the website says I am in Amsterdam but not for the exaggerated reasons Mr Mckinley has detailed. In true journalistic style he never lets the truth get in the way of a good story. Even if I was home I wouldn’t have played as my groin needs resting. Also no Mr Jones as he is still working on his figure in Florida, no Crab Collins as he is now committed to his training for the London Marathon. That’s all I know of, I heard a rumour Mr ‘higher later’ Rose was mysteriously run over (Max Branning style) outside his house Thursday...not confirmed though, any ideas? So much for those who where worried about the size of the squad at the start of the season, we look more like an A&E waiting room every week!
Quick Prague update…
Everyone has paid the second £50 instalment, well nearly everyone. For a while I did think that Jason the Brazilian from the Sunday side had moved away to play for his native Recife side as I didn’t hear anything from him but low and behold he turned up and popped his goods through my door, and the money. Also ‘Mr reliable’ Aka ‘the fifth Gibb’ Mckinley hadn’t paid a single penny along with his side kick ‘Go Large’ Jones but like the National Rail service they where late but finally showed up and with a pocket full of cash. Danny wouldn’t of made payment had he not of retained his title and prize money of £200 for largest Cranium in Norfolk for the 4th year running. Apparently seldom seen PB leg end Jon Reynolds came a close second taking £100 and Bimbo the sea lion from pleasurewood hills came in a disappointed third collecting three mackerel and a bag of whitebait. Unfortunately I do have one outstanding payment and that Anthony ‘Mr competitive’ Ogogo. You would think with all those celebrity endorsements, appearance fee’s at 9th birthday parties and openings of country fates it would of put some dough in pocket but so far nothing. So I’m hoping he pays soon cause I’d hate to show him up and settle this in the ring, they called me ‘the gerbil’ in my boxing days, you’ve been warned Ogogo!
Good luck for Sat..unleash hell on them.
