Close But No Cigar!

League Division 1 15/11/08

Waveney Res- 0

Pot Black F.C. - 0

Match Overview- Following a massively disappointing performance in our last encounter, which saw L'Orange soundly beaten 4-0, Pot Black did not have the ideal start being robbed of so many squad members for one reason or another. Debutant Paul Taylor partnered the outstanding Max Wall in the centre of the park with Jon Reynolds returning up front to partner Adam Bird.

Waveney were quick out of the block but found a different Pot Black facing them as the visitors craft and menace cause lots of problems at the back, although the Hunter, Jones, and Winney combo was always a threat.

With P.B going close several times in the first half through Taylor, Wall and Bird on more than one occasion there best chance was a delightful Jon Reynolds free-kick which left the keeper rooted as it rattled the bar. Cooper and Boyd went close late on as they were unable to finish the moves, as a fantastic performance was unfortunately only rewarded with a point.

G.H.Windows & Doors M.O.M- Kev Sherwood (just nicking it off Max Wall), 3 outstanding saves in the second half kept us in the match.
