Following initial plans to run the website from Africa, this went tits up when the Internet in the hotel was down... Therefore no updates... but now we're back to business as usual.
I'd like to start by thanking the boys who took over the reigns whilst I was on Safari, my Assistant Kev Sherwood & Secretary Steve Collins for sorting out all the formalities and bits and pieces that most of you don't have to be done, and also Captain 'Silverback' Darren Boyd and Rob 'The Retard' Sterry for taking the Team talks at my prior request. It is an extremely tough job which you all had to do, when making decisions as a colleague of players rather than a boss, so thank you for your efforts, and I hope everyone respects the position you were in.
Firstly a point against a cocksure Wrentham side who admittedly are flying at the moment, you have to say is not a bad result, weather or not the penalty should of been given or not is obviously debatable, but as expected Stu Holland dispatched it as usual, but they should ask themselves would they be defending the decision in reverse.... I think not! (by the way I think the score predictions on there website could make them look a little silly this season and also rub a few teams up the wrong way, especially since they obviously haven't seen there opponents play?)
OK so frustration followed by disappointment, is going to be shock to the P.B system after a solid start this season, and its a shame that our first stumble came to rivals Waveney Reserves but after much feedback, maybe we, weren't at the races and by all accounts the visitors were exceptional on the day. But we must remember you don't become a bad side over night and it was just a stumble, and this week I expect a you to produce a display to match that against Hearts and Spexhall.
We will have a big squad again this week no doubt and someone will miss out, but just remember come the end of the season when the stats for the year are announced there won't be a lot between you, and yes each and everyone of you could be starting week in and week out for another club, but ask yourself this, would you rather be a small piece of something special or big piece of a pile of shit? I think we know the answer!
See you on the battlefield!
The Gaffer.
