Pot Black F.C- 3
Spexhall F.C- 1
Match Overview- Following the extremely pleasing point against a very strong Hearts of Oak side last week, worries over a trough following a peak, initially looked to be coming true as a flat start left both players and spectators disappointed.
Black had shuffled their pack this week after being robbed of the services of Gav Hunt, Simon Durrant and Captain Darren Boyd as Rob Sterry, Max Wall, Jordan Wardrope and Jon Reynolds came into the fold.
It was the visitors who took the lead following a poor marking at a corner lead to a towering header being blasted past the helpless Kev Sherwood in goal. But their joy was short lived when a menacing Tantony free kick was deflected off a Spexhall player into their own net only one minute later.
P.B snatched the lead on the stroke of half time when a good move by both Reynolds Scott & Jon, saw Tantony lay the ball on a plate for Adam Bird to masterfully smash home.
After the break the best 15 minutes of play saw Steve 'The Crab' Collins notch his first of the season from a corner as he rose like salmon smashing home from an incredible three quarters of a yard.
All in all, the positive is we took three points against a dangerous and capable Spexhall side when we were slightly out of sorts, which means we still have lots of room for improvement, so it's up to you to raise the bar.
Goal Scorers- O.g, Adam Bird, & Steve Collins
G.H.Windows & Doors M.O.M- Darren Laws, absolutely immense well done.
