Well, well well, six wins on the trot! We have finally started to realise the true potential of our squad. I say squad because this week’s victory was a patched up side when you look at who has been involved in the five games before hand. Testament to the squad so bloody well done lads. I was off last week due to best man duties and my first of three stag do’s this year, I got the word from Dan and we did a virtual toast at 10pm later that night as I was in Ipshit and he was in Lowestoft! A lot of teams including ourselves don’t always give us the credit we deserve, don’t be fooled, we battle and fight like a fly having its wings pulled off and ok, a fly can land in shit but our determination and team spirit make us a damn good side so lets not loose that! I feel all teary and nostalgic now, especially as I was away last week!
Nice to see ex PB player left his mark on last weeks game, namely at the top of Jonesy’s groin after ‘accidentally’ catching him in a 50/50 challenge! I have to take my hat off to him for even attempting a 50/50 with Ross (Big Mac) Jones, I have seen many a person try and fail. After one attempt I do remember a player saying, ‘I thought I’d been hit by a brick wall’ so nice one Scotty for trying, you always were a bit brainless when it came to tackling.
So CDS Waveney this week, three words….let them havit. We are on a superb run of form at the moment and with Hearts coming up the following week we need to keep the momentum. Don’t look to the player beside you to try and do it for you, we all have a part to play, so no wimping out.
OK enough of the rally cry, Well done Tony Falco for his winner last week, that’s probably his most important goal he will score all season and more than likely his only! Would you believe Tants was prolific in his first season for PB scoring some of his finest goals for the club. In fact in his younger days he played at a very decent standard turning out for some of the town’s best teams. He was also known as Giggsy! This was mainly due to the fact he had a bad perm and he was a left footed winger…… not his chest hair! He is more likely to be compared to Gazza now, moved into the middle, still got it but a little slower, unfitter and slightly unstable.
Also well done to sick note Burger who was given man of the match. I’m not gonna say anymore about that as he was playing in my position! Don’t be surprised if he is unavailable for the next game and I have an alibi for his untimely demise.
You may remember a couple of weeks ago I joked on here about Danny receiving an official complaint about his conduct against Corton FC (see video evidence). Well it only bloody happened!!! Dan received a call from the league informing him that two official complaints had been lodged! The stupid twat thought he was abusing some innocent Corton FC fan, turns out he was a committee member for the league. Next time Dan just spare a thought for who you might be telling to go fuck themselves! Nice one, you pick em! The second complaint came from a supporter who was watching the other game on Corton’s pitch….his voice does carry quite well! You’d think that Dan doesn’t have a conscience, well I can tell you he does but he also has a very short memory.
Looking forward to this weekends games especially as I have just bought some new summer boots! They are the new Nike Ronaldinho boots so I expect it to improve my first touch, pace, dead ball ability, smile and hairdo…just need to get on now!
