Well firstly I'd like to say a big thanks for all the lads who turned up and even those who came and showed their faces even though they weren't taking part.I know I wasn't expecting a massive turn out as it was a last minute thing but even so after two weeks without a game it was a much need refresher and a good laugh for those who made it.
The 'Soccer AM' Cross Bar challenge was a particular highlight for me watching on as Doddy, Rosey and Banksey humiliated themselves, I refuse to point a finger directly but on one attempt the ball bounced twice before reaching the 18 yard box! So while they were flogging that dead horse, the rest of us were trying to resuscitate Reeder whose body had gone into anaphylactic shock after the warm up run.
But the only thing funnier than that, was the welcome return of Scotty 'Too Hotty' Reynolds after 5 months on the sidelines, he surprisingly looked quite sharp with some nice control and passing....... Although it wasn't all roses, with his fitness making Ross Molby-Jones look like Paula Radcliffe and the fact he was like 'Bambi on ice' and he could barely stand up for more than a minute without falling down again, I wasn't sure weather to check him for an inner ear problem or see if his boots were in fact roller blades? just hilarious! Welcome back mate.
