End of an era!

The Pot Black management are extremely sad to announce that L'Orange Legend Simon Hall has been forced into retirement after sustaining a Knee injury which appears will be terminal.

Simon has been a marvelous servant to our side since signing from Beccles Town in 2000/01 when he joined up with his elder brother shaun who was enjoying a brief spell with P.B, as Simon proved a driving force in the side that lifted the 3rd division title that year.

Simon was voted 'Players Player' in 2003/04 after another season as our star man but then decided two years later to take a year off Saturday football due to convenience and the birth of his daughter, although he committed to Pot Black's Sunday side who lifted the Division 2 Title. Despite missing the Saturday sides march into Division One during this time, Simon returned to the side after a 12 month break and was happy to commit on a when needed basis, proving once again what a quality acquisition he had been back 2000 when he helped us to the Division 1 Runners-up spot this term with 3 goals in 5 games, scoring with a class finish in his final appearance against Wrentham in a 2-0 victory.

Simon Hall- 69 games, 31 goals, 4 cautions, 0 s/o.

All at Pot Black would like to thank Simon for his un-wavering commitment and outstanding service over his time with the club and remind him that Pot Black will always be his home.
