28 year old Doddington was a member of the fledgling Pot Black side of 1999, although signed for a then successful Oxford Arms in 2004-05 before returning a year later to help P.B lift the Division 2 title. Following that success and one more season in Orange, the winger decided to try his luck on the continent with two accomplished seasons playing in the Cambodian Wang League for Premier side 'Batdambang All Stars'.
Doddington is well aware that he is joining a big and competitive squad but is willing to be patient and take his chance when it comes.
Danny McKinley said "It was great to Doddy again, he looked fit and strong in training. I'm pleased that he understands that with a big squad the first month is always tough as everyone is fit and eager but as the games tick by, opportunities increase through injury and commitments etc, which saw us call on Tommy Miles, Ant Ogogo and Lansey last term for example."
