Double Bubble Bursts!

A long and hard season has finally come to an end for Pot Black F.C for both the Saturday and Sunday sides.

After lifting the League Cup on Friday night, the Sunday side faced the League Title decider against a strong Waveney Hearts side at Dip Farm on Sunday morning with nothing less than a win enough to see Pot Black to the double.

But unfortunately the match proved to be one big game too many, as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat to the league leaders in only the second match they had failed to score in all season (the other being the Suffolk County Cup Final to Wortham Dolphin, the only club in the whole County to of played in more games this season than us). Although congratulations must go to Waveney Hearts who lifted the trophy and deservedly so, as the best side won on the day.

Although despite this disappointment we really need to look at the bigger picture, following 3 seasons (Sats & Suns) without a sniff of silverware or even a top half finish, we managed Runners-Up in the Saturday Lowestoft & District League, Runners-Up in the Lowestoft Sunday League, Runners-Up in the Sunday Suffolk County F.A Cup and Winners of the Sunday Lowestoft Knock-out Cup. An absolutely incredible year for our Club, so lets make sure we celebrate in the manner which is befitting such an achievement at our presentation night!
