Mick Wall did his usual accomplished performance as quiz master extraordinaire, with some very tough question getting the ole grey matter ticking over.
Team Cooper stole the plaudits piping the runners up by a point in the football quiz, although after reports from T-Mobile that due to increased usage on the network in the P.B area on Saturday night between 9-10pm, they've asked Walley if they can put a new signal mast where table 3 currently stands to satisfy local demand.
In the table football world cup, early favourites Danny Rose and Scotty 'Too Hotty' Reynolds looked a sure thing after dispatching The McKinley/Sterry combo in the first round (but they took it really well... only knocking the table over once and only bitching for an hour afterwards.) Team Boyd also looked strong contenders backed by their vocal travelling support, but also fell to Rose & Reynolds, but it was not to be there year, as Keiran Waldrope & Sam Wilgoss Lifted the title!
In the All-Star Ladies Bar Billiard tournament, Team Boyd (Denise & Sharon) put up some stern opposition as some seasoned Billiard professionals failed to produce the kind of form that had seen them win so many other trophies, as Vicky McKinley, Gil Edmunds, and former champ Sarah Crisp all crashed and burned, as the Slovakian born Olympic finalist by the name of Kelly, looked almost invincible, until Martel 'Daisy Duke' Crisp (pictured left with the stars of 'Brokeback Mountain') was victorious after a death match.
Killer darts saw several people throw wobblers as well as darts, in particular Walley who was slayed by his 'Butter wouldn't melt/I've never played darts' son Max and Paul 'I'm a Pro darts player and I've been totally Robbed' Harrod. Although it was Maximillion Wall who was the Killer King in the end!
Special mentions to Sandy and Glynnie who did a fantastic job behind the bar, Reedy and Bear who started an absolutely fantastic challenge with their 25 hour Snookerthon raising cash for charity, but also Gav Hunt who not only invented a drink called 'A Test Tube Baby' (which is essentially, half a lager, two table spoons on vinegar and a pickled egg) but also got Ross to drink 2 of them and also made him think it was a good idea. Well done mate, you're a hero!
Next Party.... This Sunday @ P.B.H.Q for Derby Day Norwich City Vs Ipswich Town.
