RESPECT!

With D-Day creeping ever closer, we have recently received some literature from the league's Referee appointment secretary Mr. Richard May, regarding the treatment of referee's for the forthcoming season.

Firstly I know that I'm no angel when it comes's to having a moan from the sideline, but do make a point not to abuse the Ref with insults etc.

Further more, when we have had cause in the past to complain about a Referees performance and conduct, I am always told "A Ref like a player, can't have a good game every week", which when you think about it is a very valid point, and you'll all know yourselves that when you are having a mare, if all your team mates start having a go that won't help either.

So I'm not expecting you to not appeal for penalties, corners, and free kicks, but once he's made his decision, all loosing your head is going to do is effect your performance, his performance and potentially cost us points.

This season let's let the other teams upset the Ref's, each other and implode, while we let the football do the talking, and maybe if the Referees start enjoying taking charge of Pot Black matches, extra good fortune might be bestowed upon us.... If Know what I mean!
