Stand-in Management Satisfied!!!!!

Friendly 09/08/08

Yarmouth Town Hall- 2
Pot Black F.C- 3

In the second friendly clash between these two sides since the turn of the year, Pot Black were keen to reap some revenge following their defeat to a good side back in April.

Once again it was a scratch side that travelled to a wet pitch in Rolsby, Norfolk for the sides 3rd run out this summer with several key players missing out on a jolly due to the matches clash with 'The Pot Black's Annual Newmarket Races trip' Manager Danny McKinley included.

Therefore Assistant Manager Kevin 'Hollywood' Sherwood and Party Liaison Robert Sterry took over competently as they led the side to victory.

Pot Black weathered extreme early pressure as the visitors struggled to blow away the cob webs with many passes going disappointingly astray. Yet it was returning PB star Simon Hall who set Adam Bird away following a quick break to take the lead.

Town Hall who will be plying their trade in the Lowestoft & District third division after ditching the Yarmouth League last season levelled the score, before Ex-PB player Adam Goldspink now of Corton Reserves acquired for the day, from Rent-A-Player to fill in for the diminished squad pushed L'Orange back in front.

Pot Blacks third goal was a classy exchange which began at the back with a flourish of creativity and precise passes before some dazzling wing play sent the ball across the middle for Simon Hall to latch onto with Gusto, finding the bottom corner.

The only blemish on PB's copy book was an extremely sloppy second Town Hall goal late on and knocks to Steven Foulkes, Tom Miles, and Simon Hall although the latter is expected to be fit for Pot Blacks trip to Kessingland to face Crusaders on Wednesday night.

Special Mention to Scotty 'Too Hotty' Reynolds who when asked to play out of position at left back produced a man of the match performance. Keep it up mate, and well done to all the lads who took part.

All at Pot Black would like to thank Town Hall for another very competitive run out and would like to wish them the best of luck this season, although P.B are predicting a league and John Moore Shield Double on the Horizon, fingers crossed lads. We hope to see you next summer.
