P.B Boys in Sunday Action

Pot Black's Sunday side was in action this weekend lead by coaching mastermind David 'Daisy' Edmunds, as several P.B Saturday stars stretched their aching bones following their match Vs Mutford.

The starting eleven saw Kev Sherwood in goal in the absence of both Richie Reeder & Woody, the central defensive partnership of Ross Jones & Mark Lansdale was enough to put the fear of god into any centre forward and 'all you can eat buffet' in the land.

Back from Portugal Ironically (although still not as tanned as Banksey & The Retard) Steve Collins joined Simon Durrant, Rob Sterry & Max Wall in midfield with Rob Cooper and Adam Bird leading the forward line.

Neil Banks completed the Saturday players in action as he looked comfortable & experienced at warming the bench.

Pot Blacks opposition on the day was Lowestoft International F.C from Saturdays League Division 2, a side non of our squad had ever faced.

All in all it was a nice run out on a good pitch against a side who despite their lack of shape had some extremely talented individuals. That a side the victory never looked in doubt as Pot Black won at a canter with Birdy notching a brace, while Max Wall, Lansey,Targa and Ben Strachan also scored.

The biggest positive was 2 games in 3 days will help build fitness for the opening day (although I am in the process of trying to squeeze in one for pre-season mid-week match if poss).
