Crusaders F.C- 1
Pot Black F.C- 1
With the weather conditions looking as if it would cause the match to be called or a least make things extremely difficult, it turned out, it was the pitch size its self which tested the visitors, due to its incredibly thin and short dimensions which must be close to the F.A minimums.
That aside an nearly full P.B side started very strongly with Crusaders barely managing a shot on target in the first half as Adam Bird and Gav Hunt leading the raiding parties at the other end caused the home sides defence lots of problems.
Adam Bird unfortunately had a tremendous finish ruled out for off-side and two very strong penalty claims turned down, but it was Gav Hunt who's shimmy around the keeper saw his effort take the final touch off a forlorn defender.
With constant changes not helping with the flow on the field, Crusaders were given something to cheer about with 15mins to go as a fantastic long range volley caught everyone including their own players by surprise.
That aside it was an extremely pleasing performance against a fit, young, and enthusiastic team, with bags of opportunities created on a very challenging pitch and a exercise in keep ball testing our focus. Well done lads the next match on a larger pitch will be yet another hurdle before the big Kick-Off.
