Whats on this summer?

With only 2 matches left to play this season, it's almost time for a well deserved extended rest. Although that does not mean that the fun needs to stop there, as with P.B.F.C it never really does, so the 'L'Orange' Management are planning an extensive summer programme.

Unfortunately with Banksey costing the club so much in fines and Birdy in dental work, club funds are a little sparse, so the planned 2 week training camp in Malaga and the 1 month press tour of Japan have been put on hold til 2009 despite public out cry.

As a result, our events will be a little more humble. Of course training is a given although I feel the 7-a-side Astro will play a part as in mid-season, over drill sessions at Normo. There are also 2 potential friendlies in place with Yarmouth Town Hall and Halesworth Town Reserves, but I am still not so keen on entering any 5 or 7-a-side tournaments, after our last outing, when 3 of our lads ended up in the St. Johns Ambulance Wagon wrapped up like Tutankhamen (and Ross used a lot of bandages I can tell you).

First on the Agenda is our 'Annual P.B Presentation Night' which this year entails a 'Soccer AM Dance Off" on the 31st May 2008 **FOR LADS IN THEIR FIRST SEASON BOOK OUT YOUR DIARY THIS IS A NIGHT NOT TO BE MISSED**

Next up in June is 'The P.B Sports day' when people and events will be drawn at random prior to the event including sack race, wheelbarrow, 3 legged, and egg and spoon etc. Obviously the difficulty will increase with inclusion of alcohol, and the days grand finally will be the Banks Vs McKinley 100m Dash. (Parents are advised they are allowed to bring cameras).

Following this in July, Mick Wall has insisted we hold a 'P.B Bike Wobble' , fundamentally this is the same as a Bar Crawl just with the potential added element of death, where all players will be expected to dig out there helmets on a jaunt round sunny Lowestoft.

Finally in August, we are looking to organise a 'P.B Beach Volleyball Tournament' this will be for mixed sides as I'm sure the WAGS will be keen to join forces with such athletes as we spend more time doing Top Gun impressions than playing volleyball. Alcohol will once again play apart then back to P.B.H.Q for light liquid refreshments (are you beginning to see a pattern here?).

Well all in all, if train as hard as we plan to party this summer we should carry forward our good form, from the back end of season 2008/09, if any of you think you know any players who might be interested in signing for the Orange Revolution next season they are more than welcome to be apart of our summer programme. Let me know.
